What to Expect After a PCSO Arrest
After a PCSO arrest, the person is usually taken to the Pinellas County Jail for booking. A first appearance before a judge generally happens within 24 hours, and that’s where bond and release conditions are addressed. Most cases then go to the Pinellas County Justice Center in Clearwater.
PCSO deputies make arrests for a wide range of charges, including DUI, drug possession, theft, battery, and, in the beach towns, underage drinking and disorderly conduct. Attendance at court dates is often required and should be assumed mandatory unless the court or your attorney explicitly says otherwise. Talking with an attorney early, before you answer questions from deputies, can protect your rights.
